Located in snow-blessed Hokkaido,
Niseko-Hirafu is regarded as one of Japan's premier
powder resorts. Affected by weather fronts that
travel across the sea from the Siberian desert, Niseko's
snow quality is world class. The resort overlooks
the stunning volcano Mt Yotei, and offers glimpses of
the Sea of Japan. With gondola and lifts that come
down right into the village, Niseko-Hirafu is lots of
fun. All restaurants, shops and cafes are located
minutes walk from your accommodation, and the locals are
relaxed and friendly. |

Niseko's ski area is made up of three
resorts, with 61 runs, 38 lifts and gondolas, and over
47 kms of groomed slopes. For easy access, the
three resorts are interlinked during the day by lifts
and free shuttle buses. For experts who want more,
Niseko's backcountry terrain covers over 30 square
kilometers. Niseko-Hirafu resort conditions are
primarily intermediate class. Whilst offering
challenging slopes for advanced skiers, Niseko also
caters for the first time skier or boarder. There
are several beginner slopes, as well as plenty of
intermediate areas to practice on. Falling into
soft snow is a lot more fun than onto ice!
